Welcome to the London International Cuban Congress 2011, brought to you by Salsa Explosion, the award winning organisers of the UK Cuban Salsa Congress in Bournemouth and the UK’s 1st Cuban Salsa Festival.
This exciting three day event takes place from the 8th to the 11th of April 2011 in the very heart of London, home to the majority of Cubans living in the UK and one of most exciting and entertaining cities in the world!
Featuring over 45 hours of daytime dance workshops with some of the very best Cuban Salsa teachers in UK and Europe and 3 spectacular late night Salsa Parties featuring music and shows by Europe's hottest Cuban Salsa performers and DJs, the London International Cuban Salsa Congress is set to be hotter than a week in Havana!
We hope you can join us for what will be another great celebration of Cuban music and dance – this time in London – The most vibrant city in the World.
WORKSHOPS
The London International Cuban Congress opens on Friday the 8th April 2011 at 9pm with a sizzling-hot ‘Welcome to Cuba’ Salsa party featuring live entertainment and shows from some of Europe’s finest Cuban salsa dancers and DJs.
The Congress includes over 45 hours of dance classes for all levels on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm, taught by very best Cuban salsa teachers in the UK and Europe. Workshops include Cuban Salsa, Rueda De Casino, Son, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Afro-Cuban Orishas, Male and Female styling, Reggaeton, Kizomba and Bachata. There is also a special Cuban salsa boot-camp programme for people who have never danced Salsa before or those who want to cross-over from the cross-body style!

The evening parties are where you will get to let loose, socialise and practise all the new moves that you will have learnt in the workshops. Evening parties take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and include live entertainment, animation and shows. Doors open at 9pm each night and stay open until the early hours!

The Place is the UK's premier centre for contemporary dance. Our unique building in central London is perhaps best known as a theatre for innovative new performance, though we do lots more besides.
The Place is located in a complex of buildings between Duke's Road and Flaxman Terrace, just off Euston Road in Central London.
